Hoosier Business Owners,
My office is in the process of phasing out paper reminders for business entity reports and is
moving to email notifications. You will now receive an email notification reminding you to file
your annual or biennial business entity report. This change will result in a savings of $250,000.00
each year for tax payers and will allow Indiana to continue to have some of the lowest filing fees
in the country.
In order to assist you with maintaining a current email address, the office is in the process of
developing an online application where you will be able to update your email address at any time.
If you need to update your email address prior to the online application, please call 317.232.6576.
By maintaining a current email address with my office, you ensure that you will receive your
business entity report reminders, and keep your business in good standing with the State of Indiana.
According to Indiana statute, failure to pay business entity reports will result in your business being
Administratively Dissolvedor Revoked. See Indiana Code 23-1-46-2; 23-1-51-2; 23-18-10-2; 23-18-
11-16; 23-17-23-2 or 23-17-26-13.
For-Profit Corporations and Limited Liability Companies (domestic and foreign) are required to file
biennial reports. The filing fee is $30.00 and the report is due during the month the entity was
formed.
Nonprofit Corporations (domestic and foreign) are required to file annual reports. The filing fee
is $10.00 and the report is due during the month the entity was formed.
All business entity reports may be filed online at www.in.gov/sos/business/3672.htm
By filing online you will receive a discounted filing fee.
Thank you for doing business in Indiana.
